I made a video about the best advice I got when I was starting out. You can watch it clicking the video below.
I asked in the video what advice have you got or given to others. The amount of great advice was big. It was also so valuable that I decided to list some of the best in this blog post. Not many come back and read the comments.

I think this advice is spot on. You do not need the latest gear to make great photography. If you concentrate more on your photography skills, you will be a far better photographer than you would be if you think about the gear all the time.

Thinking about the image your making is important. Just firing a way will give you a lot of images, but in most cases that would result in good photographs. It does not mean that when things happens you should not make a lot of images if there is a thinking process behind the images.

Practise is the key. Learn you gear to be better. The better you know your gear the less you have to think about it. If you do not have to think about the how on your camera you can concentrate on tghe photography itself.

Enjoying the process is good for you. For many photography is a hobby. Part of the fun is just to go out and enjoy the act of photography. It does not always have to be about the image itself. A great photograph is a bonus.

This comment from @hafzke had many good advice. Worth reading and giving so thought.

This is very important. Shoot for the moment. Being present and in a flow will help a lot when making photographs.
