Dual Card Slots – Olympus OM-D E-M1 MkII

Dual Card Slots in my Olympus OM-D E-M1 MkII are very handy for back up during image making. Memory Cards can fail. Having Dual Card Slots in your camera is very crucial. Especially if you do wedding photography and venues that are one time things. You cannot re-make the wedding. With camera recording to two memory cards you have a back up straight away. The if you have a memory card failure your images are not gone. You still have the other one with the images.

SLR Magic HyperPrime Cine 25mm T0.95

I bought myself a new lens. It is a SLR Magic HyperPrime Cine 25mm T0.95. Its a manual focus Cine lens. Cine means that its mainly meant for video.

Cine lenses have aperture ring without clicks, so changing exposure during filming is smooth by turning the aperture ring. Of course the same effect could be done with a variable ND-filter.

In the video I comment on the quality of the lens and test it how it works when making images.

    Olympus Apps

Controlling your Olympus camera with your phone is quite easy. Olympus has a great app for that, OI.Share App. With OI.Share App you can use your phone as a shutter button, see the image on your phones screen while making images. You can also transfer jpg-images from Olympus cameras to your phone and share them to social media.

You can also Geo Tag images with your Olympus camera also quite easy. Geo Tagging images makes finding images later a much easier task. OI.Track app can track your route and the GPS-coordinates can be easily attached to your files metadata. OI.Track adds GPS coordinates to your images. Lightroom can read that data and place your photograph on a map.
